Health Coaching

Who does not want to feel full of energy, ready to face new opportunities every day?  How we eat, drink, move, sleep and think are paramount in helping us achieve our goals, while also giving us mental energy to adapt to the fast-paced world we live in today. How we eat and live greatly affects our immune system, hormonal balance, body, weight, energy, and mental wellness.

Coaching can be a starting point to set you up with:

  • A realistic eating plan
  • Improved blood sugar balance
  • A convenient shopping list for your pantry
  • Mindfulness of what you feel like when you make good or less optimal food choices
  • Daily physical and mental energy for a productive day
  • Hydration during the day to flush out toxic burden in the body
  • Optimizing digestion, and resolving digestive troubles that cause reflux, bloating and abdominal pain
  • Weight management
  • Decreased inflammation, less pain, and better sleep
  • Improved performance at work, or in sports
  • Motivation to get you started, and support to navigate challenges along the way

Want to make changes, but do not know where to start? Consider the following:

Our daily nutrition matters! Every morsel of food we can consume can help us, heal us, or harm and hurt us. A healthy diet: It is not about calories - it is about nutrients!
Poor blood sugar balance will set us up for energy slums, weight gain, lack of concentration, and other health troubles. If we wish to perform at our highest level, we need to be “fueled up” with health and brain-boosting nutrients.

2. Restorative sleep:

At night, our brain cleans itself, literally so. This can only happen during deep sleep phases. This is also where restoration occurs so the brain is ready for all the demands of a busy day. Without restorative sleep, we might feel tired at some point during the day, or struggle to maintain concentration on demanding tasks, and gain weight management. Many factors affect our ability to sleep, or to stay asleep.

3. Daily movement:

Yes, it possible to overexercise, but with today’s lifestyle and pandemic lockdowns, the scale has tipped even more into a sedentary lifestyle.  What matters, is that the exercise program is appropriate for you. This can include talking walks, lifting weight, toning up, or riding your bike. Cross training is the key, as our body needs to be stimulated to main energy, immune resilience, and strength for daily activities.

4. Stress reduction:

Our lives are fast-paced today, no doubt bout that. More than ever we need to create boundaries, and that includes boundaries in regards to too many obligations, toxic relationships, use of electronic devices, and increased exposures to environmental toxins and EMF. Connecting with Nature is an important component, especially with an urban lifestyle.  We are designed to handle stress, but only with adequate rest thereafter to restore.  Finding a balance is a challenge, yet essential to ensure joy and a health life.

5. Mindfulness:

A lot of our stress comes from that ‘little voice in our head that seeds doubt and criticism”…I call the monkey-mid that is based on subconscious belief systems. These govern our thoughts - and our behaviors.  Self-sabotage, addictive behavior is rooted in emotions of stored guilt, shame, seeking approval from others, and “not feeling good enough.” Shining a light in this arena can be helpful to make distant goals your new reality.

It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole." Rupi Kaur
